It's great to see that after endless reality TV shows we are now getting some good Aussie TV dramas. Sea Patrol was Channel Nine's big gamble this year which has paid of handsomely with good ratings and has been renewed for a second season.
I'm not surprised it succeeded, while dramas that tell the real Australian story will always be popular, Sea Patrol did something different. It told the story of the Australian defence forces, something which hasn't been done on television for a long time. Why producers ignored the story potential of our military I don't know, but lets home we see more. How about a show on the SAS?
Next season should be even better, not only will Alan Dale be in it but the crew get a brand new Armidale Class patrol boat.
