Carbon tax compensation means higher taxes

Can we all please all understand that using the Carbon Tax as a source of revenue for compensation means higher overall taxes? The whole point of the Carbon Tax is to reduce CO2. Which means if it work, the revenue base will shrink. However the demand for compensation will still remain. So were do you think the money is going to come from?

Mr Combet said China, the world's biggest polluter, was also the world's largest manufacturer of solar panels and wind turbines, and was investigating carbon pricing schemes in six regions.

The minister confirmed that under the scheme now being put together, pensioners, low and middle income earners would get more than 50 per cent of the revenue from carbon pricing to cover price increases


And some would be better off once the rebates were made.


The Greens carbon price negotiator, Christine Milne, said she supported "half the revenue from pricing pollution to help householders.''


"The Multi-Party Climate Committee is still working on the details of how this assistance will be delivered to householders, but there is complete agreement that it will be generous,'' said Senator Milne.

"There is also tremendous potential for householders and businesses to save more money and cut more pollution through upgrading their energy efficiency.''

Liberals shaft the Greens

FEDERAL Greens leader Bob Brown tried to put a brave face on his party's poor showing in the Victorian election.

Dr Brown said today that the Greens had increased their vote across Victoria, but the Liberal Party's decision to preference Labor ahead of the Greens had cost his party three inner city seats.

"Had the Greens picked up those three seats the Liberals would be in a much stronger position to claim a moral authority at least to government," he said.

I hope other states follow the Victorians Liberals. The Labor Party are our fellow Australians who we disagree with. Te Greens are the Spawn Of Satan.

No Tim Tams for Sydney

The Green infestation is running riot at City of Sydney Council:

SYDNEY Lord Mayor Clover Moore has banned Tim Tams from council events for fear they're partially produced through cruel child labour on Africa's Ivory Coast.

In a move to create "sustainable, healthy and cruelty-free catering" at City of Sydney meetings and events, staff have stopped providing chocolate biscuits along with meals containing eggs, bottled water, fat-rich cakes, dairy deserts and "bad" fish species.

One of the first attempts at the new politically correct meals policy was at the council's Investing in Sydney's Future business forum on February 25.

On the menu were vegetables (locally grown), NSW wines (organic) and "a good fish species choice" (blue-eye trevalla)....

Feral Greens

This is how those nice soft and cuddly Greens help the environment:

PEOPLE are being urged to break into shops, "disable" four wheel drives and throw pies at people by an extreme environmental group being promoted by the NSW Greens.

The group Rising Tide is planning a blockade of the world's biggest coal port in Newcastle, for which Greens MP Lee Rhiannon has held a "direct action and civil disobedience" workshop to prepare protesters.

The Greens are only a nuisance in State Parliament but they can hold real power in local government. Fortunately the people out here have more sense then to vote them in.
