Premier Iemma thinks an apology to Aboriginals will make Australians feel proud. I'm sure the Left will feel proud, its all about feelings for them. There will be tears of apolgetic joy among the chattering classes, but I doubt their will be much joy among the abused Aboriginal kids. However our Premier has promised to help.
"I commit my government to making substantial inroads into reducing Aboriginal disadvantage in the three years of the parliamentary term left," the premier told the Australian Legends Luncheon.
His government can't even introduce a transport ticket scheme!
