DWTS knocks out the Prime Minister

Dancing With The Stars is more important then the Prime Minister's address to the nation.. hmmm.... sounds about right.

TV networks knock back PM's request for air time to detail carbon tax on Sunday night

Carbon price is coming

The Prime Minister will let us know just how much a carbon tax will cost on Sunday.

AT least two networks have turned down an offer of a special prime ministerial broadcast for an address to the nation on her proposed carbon tax.

The government has not finalised the details of its plan to price carbon, ahead of its Sunday reveal.
So far, Nine and Seven have declined to provide airtime for the broadcast, and it's unclear whether the Ten Network would or not, The Australian reports. Sunday night's primetime programming on the commercial networks includes the Dancing With The Stars grand final, MasterChef, 60 Minutes and The Mentalist.

Julia slipping

Julia GillardImage via WikipediaTony Abbott's attacks on the Government's carbon tax are having an effect. The Liberals now have a 10 point lead over Labor and Julia Gillard.:

After a fortnight that has seen Labor decimated in the New South Wales state election and Prime Minister Julia Gillard intensifying her criticism of the Greens, the Coalition has seized a two-party preferred lead of 55 to 45 per cent.

It's a sharp turnaround from Labor's 51-49 per cent lead a fortnight ago but almost the same as the Coalition lead of 54-46 a month ago.

It suggests either voters are highly volatile or the Newspoll a fortnight ago may have been a rogue poll.

In primary vote terms, today's Newspoll says Labor is at 32 per cent, down 4 points in a fortnight. A month ago Labor hit a record low 30 per cent.

If this keeps up we could have a new Prime Minister in a few months.

Please Julia, dress up!

Our Prime Minister's dress sense is a disgrace. She is representing the country surely she can do better.  Have a look at this:

Its getting to the stage were I'm willing to pay extra taxes so she can afford a good dressmaker. Have a look what the Governor General can do:

We have a Prime Minister

Prime Minister Julia Gillard (25)Image by MystifyMe Concert Photography™ via FlickrWell, Julia Gillard is our Prime Minister. I think she deserves the Green Marxist and Agrarian Socialists. Let her try to govern with them. I' glad Tony Abbott didn't sell out to that lot.  They're all yours now honey.

This is ridiculous

Rob Oakeshott, one of the Three Amigos, or should I say the Three Stooges, does not like people telling him to hurry up and make up his mind.  Tough, I and I'm sure lot of other Australians are getting sick of tall three of them. Oakshott seems to think he may blackmail Tony Abbott by declaring he will force another election. Well, what would the result of another election be? There can only be three alternatives., A clear Labor win, a clear liberal win or another hung parliament. If the Liberals or Labor win, the most likely option,  he would lose any political leverage he has. If another hung parliament happens he would be in the same position.

I'm beginning to  think the best outcome would be for them to support Julia Gillard. Lets have a government Labor, Green and Independents government. Let Australia see what that means. I have no doubt the following election would have a far clearer result.
